Yeah mine doesn't, when we modified the tail we took that part off.  I'm hoping that they don't get too concerned about it.  If they do I'll just cut out a whole in the undertail and put a light in there.

Yeah, I'd say it was a fast lens.  I would guess f/2.8 for most of them.
